Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Hats off to them!

Maya has the best Fluid effects of any software package!

You can thank Maya's Fluid effects for 'The Day after tomorrow'

Amazing movie.

May Fluids is very good, but I wont say its the best. Realflow is far the most acurite fluid simulator I have ever seen.

The boys at Autodesk <cough> Alias <cough> have outdone themselves to be nominated

Congratulations to the Maya dev. team!

I for one bow before our fluid-simulating overlords!

So how many Academy Awards has Maya got itself now? Is it 3 or is it 2?

hey Chris,

Your right, the award is for maya fluids for gaseous simulations, not for fluid simulations, bit confusing, but I know where your coming from, its not too cleaver for liquid sim's, in fact Nextlimit won the same award for Realflow!!

But for explosions and gaseous sims it really rocks!! Pretty easy to use, quite fast to simulate and very very stable.

Yeah yur right there Steve. Maya's inbuilt dynamics for those effects (fire, smoke etc...) are fantastic, best "out of the box" solution available as far as I am aware.
