This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.
Are you going for cartoon style or realism? His snout or whatever that area is called looks short so right now he looks kinda huggable lol ^^, anyways, happy modeling.
2 gester: I did make another raptor, do u remember that? and i think im going to get to this point and now start blocking off and connecting the arms, and legs before I go any futher, tell me if u think thats a good\bad idea.
looks like a good start starjsjswars - this is great choice of dino!
i don't have any raptor refs at hand, but at the moment the arms look a little long - as you said though, it's at an early stage.
i also think you need to really focus on how the various parts of the body connect. at the moment everything is looking a little stiff and flat - there is very little balance at the moment - for example, how the neck or the tail comes out of the body.
When you look at an organic form you will often see contrasting curves on opposite sides of the contour - where the form will do one thing on one side, it will often do the opposite on the other - not always - but depending on how you deal with / exaggerate / play down these forms will really help bring your model to life and make it seem organic.
Hey man thanks alot! it wasnt to long, the others were to shot
ya it is pretty early i havent touched the tail yet, everything is in the basic shape even the head lol. yea I still gotta fixt he arms and legs, i just did the legs (starting)
