This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

NOOB ALERT - "Where is the Modelling Menu Set!?"

Hi guys....


Yes, im a Maya noob... and im struggling!

I was watching a basic tutorial hoping i could get off to a flying start and creat a basic PROJECT... i guess i was wrong.

Even scared to post in here cause i feel im only going to get a dumb answer and make myself even more stupid than i already feel with this program...

Ok here goes.



For my project i firstly needed to be in the Modelling Menu Set and on my screen drop down i only have the following...!!!

Please tell me why!!!

Hi,

select the polygon menu set. I think in older versions this was called the modelling menu set.

yeah the modeling menu set was split into 2 sets: surfaces and polygons

Surfaces = nurbs and curves
Polygons = ... polygons
