Image Plane question

I'm trying to model a sculpture that's 56"x36". I need to import an image plane that's exactly the right size. But when I import it it's too small. How do I get the image plane the correct size?

Also, the image plane shows up black in the other panel views.

The imagePlane's width and height attributes are under in the 'Placement Extras' section in the 'imagePlane' tab of its attribute editor or you can find them in the channel editor under 'INPUTS'.

i prefer to justy make a plane the same size as your image and then just add a shader and map the image to color.
