Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

yeah - cos it's me! - nah not really, though that's weird.

i gave the grid demo a go, but it didn't do much for me - didn't seem that realistic and i hate it when you feel locked into the track - maybe i'll try it again - i love how in gta you can go crashing off the course and down a side street. user added image

The simulation in grid is way over the top. Its actually the worst on of the Racedriver series so far, again its going well due to its gr8 graphics, and poor gameplay.

Codemasters are going all arcadey with franchises that were previously simulation.

I really hope that Operation Flashpoint 2 is good - the previews look ace at least.

Arran, what's it like to play GTA as a New Yorker? How does it compare in terms of look and vibe?

hey - i live in brooklyn and there are a lot of nods to the landmarks that are right near my flat. such as the grand army plaza, the brooklyn library and the big yellow storage building. i like the fact that it's not exactly the same and i think they've done a really good job capturing certain areas. i'd still love to play a game set in an actual city tho - but for gta it works great. user added image

Off topic:

Chavvy, like neddy. Neds is the term for violent, or troublesome, or delinquent, youths in Glasgow. A Chav comes from elsewhere in the uk and means the same, but is a little bit wider in it's meaning I think to incorporate tacky or "cheap" taste in cars or clothing I think.

Not entirely sure if that's correct, I'm more used to neds.
