This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

War Bot

I just learned how to do Set Driven Key and so I started playing around with it. Well for no reason at all, I created a sphere and before I knew it, I ended up with a robot. Anyway, not sure how far I'm going to go with it, but here's the start.

thanks Chirone! I've already added some more cool treats, one that will surely get a great laugh. I plan on doing an animation with it when done...I already have a story idea in mind.

Added Helicoptor mode

alexanderH: I saw your comment on you tube. Thanks, I appreciate that.

jali: It's really easy to do. As soon as I get a microphone, I'll post a tutorial for you (either later tonight or tomorrow).

Here's an update

Jr. Who & jali: Yeah, Set Driven Key is really powerful and yet so simple to do. You're probably like me...learn better by seeing than reading. I found a microphone so tomorrow I will do a tutorial and post it on You Tube. I'll put the link in this thread.

I did the tutorial but I'm still waiting for it to finish processing on youtube. I would have posted earlier but had some company come over for awhile to use my computer.
