i'm most impressed that you were able to make a picture that big smaller than the upload limit size :p

thanks acid mate. user added image i started with a couple of low poly spheres that i just got roughly got into the shape of the head and body. extruded out some legs - then i focused on getting the mouth and eyes working. i usually just shape things out very rough first. user added image

What type of frog is that? Cause to me it looks more like a toad.

Hey Arran

looks great, perhaps some sss in there will add to it as well, and maybe a little more on the specular for wetness. Other wise absolutely great job!

hey - thanks everyone. user added image

lealar - thanks mate - don't think i'll do a background -just wanted a frog on a white plane - matrix style. cheers user added image

jay - yeah, you're right, getting shinyness is tough! - the spec definitely needs more work - i'll give it a tweak. also, he already has sss on him - their skin seems to be pretty opaque on top, though i'm no expert on frogs.... or sss for that matter! user added image

thanks again everyone!

Perhaps brighten your spec maps and also increase the specular weight in the sss shader
