Maya 2009 refresh issues

Ok, so I think I had a similar problem a while back with another version of Maya but here it is again.

The program seams to work fine but all I see if the grey background without the grid. I see the axis in the left corner and the navigation cube in the top right.

I can create an object but still see nothing. I can pan, zoom and rotate but but still only see grey. The only time I can see my object and the grid is when I hit the 'F' key to focus on the object. While it is doing it's zooming in I can see everything like you would expect but as soon as it stops I get the grey screen again.

I have a GeFordce 8800 GTS with an up to date driver and I am running Windows Vista

Cheers in advance for your help.

Hey Livid,

Hows tricks?

It might be worth having a look over on CGtalk as there was a thread on the 8000 series gfx cards and issues with them, might be worth looking at it as I thiike there are setting that you need to change to make it work correctly.

Cheers

Steve
