Maya CG plugin

well in my oppinion, if you are a newbie in maya, you need to go and learn the maya basics first and then go into plug-ins and other advanced things..

what does this plugin do anyway? ive read the stuff on the nvidia site but its messes with the brain! im stupid, i know user added image

I think it lets you program your own shaders and then use them in maya or something like that....

I tried installing it but it wont let me because it tells me it needs something else when I already have that....user added image

ive never understood external maya plugins user added image this one seems weird cos uve already got hypershade to do what u want it to do

Nem: its only of real use if you're developing games - lets you program your own shaders and output to either Direct X or opengl and have them display in your viewport whilst you work.
