Hmmmm....

Ok, I've got some ideas user added image :

1. Bionic/ Robotic looking Arm or specific body/component part with detail ie. pistons, gears, hoses, etc...

2. Orc armor and weapons. Ala Lord of the Rings

3. Super Hero/cartoon character model. I'm actually doing this for my demo reel

4. Starwars vehicle. ie. pod racer, space ship, walkers. This has probably been overdone already though....

5. Gizmo of the future. A model of a new invention. Might be a bit too vague though.

6. Head model. Could be any head model, or a specific person/character ie. Yoda, Gollum, Jim Carrey etc... This one would be way too hard for me user added image

7. ??? couldn't think of anything else user added image I'll post more if I come up with something else...

God Bless you and 3D

A scene from your home. A complete room or something.

I could use some furniture models, if I ever get to model architecture.

Actually, Undseth, that's not a bad idea....

Think about it for a second, if a Kitchen scene/models are created, you have the best of all worlds covered:

-Gas stove - particle dynamics
-Center Island/chopping block - stage for vegitable character animation?
-Tile floor, same as above
-appliances, full-on nurbs AND poly modeling excersizes
-Windows - well, with windows, you're just ASKIN for an excersize in MR GI and/or HDRIuser added image

Just my 2 pence....

....before undseth said that, all I could think of was the DocBot from the Matrixuser added image

(I mean, c'mon! that's an EASY one! hehe...)

dynamics? animation? I thought this was a MODEL competition... but that's not a bad idea anyway.

What about a deep sea creature - eg: a giant squid, a whale, one of those fish with glowing dangly bits, a clam or even an extinct plesiosaur. These have potential for some COOL texturing too!

I Like the idea for the bionic body part. It would be very interesting to see the different versions of the same body part, or even of different body parts.

btw... two days till I can order my new comp parts, and only four till I can build it. Yay!

If it can't be fixed with duct tape and a hammer, it isn't worth being fixed... Unless it's my computer.

nice ideas rage but a kitchen isn't really a model its more like a challenge thing this should be dead set on 1 object to be modelled the best

Thanks for wasting your time reading this line.

I thought it was gonna be just one object thats the model not a whole scene.

I would go with a Big Screen TV w/ built in DVD player user added image
