Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.
Cant we do uvw warp modifier like thing in maya. Our teacher has taught us only(now) uv texture editor.Cant we do set ID like thing in maya ,like it is in max. I need to do interior/exterior modelling(which is done), texturing and maybe lighting also.
there are planar, cylinderical, etc etc mapping (under create uvs in modeling panel) just like uvw mapping has in Max. n for poly id, i've still not found any such thing in Maya- mayb i'ven't explored well. Though there may be sum plugins out there, you might as well get used to ways of Maya, by selecting the faces manually.
