Reflections

playing around with some old model and i came across a problem.The reflections on this car look terrible anyone know of a how to fix this

I think it's reflecting the physical sky. Try using HDRI and see if it fixes it.

actually i am using an hdri image with one directional light.dont know why there are wierd spots on the bonnet/bumper area

its a mi_car paint shader with a custom ramp node mapped to the reflection channel

Ha that kinda looks cool. I remember getting some glowing weirdness like that some time ago while experimenting with the old MR shaders but I can't reproduce that with the car paint.
