ALPHAS PROJECT

This is My attempt at making a short film .any help or opinions are more than welcome .im baseing my project on a script i wrote for Transformers .my first test model is Bone crusher of the decepticons .

ok.. so your going to animate then.. so you need to build with that in mind..

Does the front shovel move up and down freely?
and the wheels?

yes the the bucket does lift up and down and nope the tracks dont move.should i build 2 models of the same one that will allow all the parts to function as a regular bull dozer i.e raise bucket and spinning tracks .and 1 to allow for transformation?take alook at this pic and tell me if the turning tracks are possiable

bad news

tonight ive learned my first hard lesson .i worked on my model all day and was about 3/4 done when i decided to take a break .when i decided to go back to work maya would not open my project .why i have no idea i cant think of anything besides building polygons that i did .i have installed maya on my other pc and tryed to import but nothing same thing lock up .so here i stand with half a model again .anyways back to work cause im not giving up and will be backing up on a regular basis.peace

thanks to duck and dan for helping me figuire out that i needed to clear my history .i still had to revert back to my last save and rebuild but i did it in less than half the time .so thanks guys

Here's a question for ya!

I'm curious on how you going to make the bulldozer transform. Cause i have know idea how i would do it.

I think if i understand right you wish to make this bulldozer a transformer... i will say one thing. To make a transformer, the only way is if you strategically plan it out so that you have different parts of the mech type (the robot) and then you have to use those to make a bulldozer or whatnot.. i think you will have to plan this on paper by drawing out the parts of it and then going back and forth, adding piece after piece to a mech and to the bulldozer at the same time.. then you can take a bulldozer and make it transform easily. If your not actually tranforming the bulldozer into a mech, then forget this post.. heh.
