Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Ferrari Enzo

Hello!

This is my first WIP post here (and anywhere else for that matter)

Any (constructive) criticism is welcome!

looking very good so far. Nice and clean and I am liking the seams and the insets.

Yeah, not much to add myself, but brilliant start. Looks very smooth and clean too. Geo is nicely spaced.

New pics

Thanks for all the nice comments guys!

Here's a little progress update:

and some wires:

have to do a lot of cleaning up on the back (the thingy the back window goes in) because it's so low poly now that the poly crease tool produces ugly artifacts at some corners.

Think I'm gonna re-route some of the topology around where the rear window should be so I can get the resolution where I need it (closest to the doors) without it getting bunched up at the end of the backwindow..

rear of the car

is it just me or is the ass of the car always the hardest/most pain in the.. well, ass..

might be related to the fact that references are hard to find due to people prefering photographing their cars from the front.

not very happy with the insets where the lights go.. got way to lazy and tried to use an extrusion on like 3 polys to make a round shape..

It's not just you, I tend to give up when I get to the back due to lack of refs >_>

Tail lights look fin in the images, to me anyways

getting there

I've never gotten this far on a car before, I usually get bored and give up somewhere halfway through/when it gets hard..

Looks great man, wheels look a little small and it seems to be sitting a little low in the renders though user added image

You're right, it does look low and the wheels look small, but
the wheels are exactly the size of the ref pics I used.

Maybe I made the profile of the tire too round and the shadows makes it look smaller?

Gonna take a closer look at it tomorrow, too tired right now..

Thanks for the crit, I'll post another render tomorrow!
