Free Friday Tutorial #2: Using the Birail Tool in Maya

It is almost Friday and since it's the holiday season we thought to add something a day earlyuser added image

YouTube - Using Maya NURBs Surfacing Tools: BIRAIL

This is a short tutorial on how to use Maya's Birail1 and Birail2 surfacing tools in response to a recent user inquiry. Maya's NURB's toolset can generate very clean and infinately scalable surfaces. NURBs curves networks can be used to create extremely complex surfaces and is used extensively in industrial design from vehicle to cellphone design. The NURB's surfaces can also be easily converted to polygons or subd's so their value to the polygon and subd modeler should not be overlooked. Thanks from SimplyMaya to Dubai3D for the idea for this tutorial.
