Maya for 3D Printing - Rapid Prototyping
In this course we're going to look at something a little different, creating technically accurate 3D printed parts.

GPU acceleration question

On the mental ray website, it shows GPU acceleration "Runs on CUDA GPUs when present"

Maya 2011 comes with mental ray, but when I render, it only seems to use the CPU and not the GPU

I currently have a nvidia GTS 250 which supports CUDA, is there anything I can do to make mental ray support CUDA?

That's most likely iray. mental ray does not have GPU acceleration.

Yes Raxor is right. Iray supports GPU rendering, Maya does not have this intergrated into it's self. Hopefully this will be something that will be addreddes as it would be a great bit of kit to have.
