Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.
Hi everybody
I´m working on a couple of characters and I would like to keep a low number of polygons used on the modeling of the character. Right now my character already´s got 1040 faces. Is that too much ?
But it would help to know what you want the model to be used for, and how far along in the modelling you are too
Hi Stwert!
Actually, i´m planning to make a short animated film (3 minutes or so). I plan to use in the same scene various elements for my background (houses, clouds, trees ...
I don´t intend to animate in the same scene more than two characters.
So ... I guess I really got to pay attention to the weight of these objects.
3 minutes is a long long time. There are lots of people who post a few times on here saying they are doing a short film/animation. Then you never see them again, or their shorts. I'd suggest going with 30 seconds.
hahahah!
Good advice honestdom! And wise too! Have you ever tried? I really wouldn´t mind to have the feedback of someone that tried to cross that desert and actually made it.
In my case, however, I intend to make about four or five scenes with 20 seconds ...
