Shaders render black in Mental Ray
I bought a model that renders fine in Maya Software but renders black in Mental Ray. The only way I can get pixels out of MR is to crank the ambient level which is self-defeating. I can find no errors in Script Output, etc. and I tried bringing the model into a new scene and starting from scratch - no luck. Not sure if this is a light issue or a shader issue, but I'm leaning shader since other geometry renders fine in Mental Ray.
Any ideas? This is a real bummer...
