a particles question

I'm trying to use particles to generate a flowing stream of binary code shooting out from a monitor. Just a random stream of 1's and 0's. Any ideas on how to do this with either a mel script or expression? Thanks to anyone who can start me in the right direction.

You can use sprites as your particle's render type, and have the per particle color (or texture, can't remember) change randomly on birth.

Imagination is more important than knowledge.
