Coloured balls

Hi im trying to create falling coloured balls - maybe four colours interacting with each other like marbles.

I was trying with particles. Jut having trouble assigning a varied colour - or randomness.

Would anyone know how to go about this?

Thanks
Graham

thanks ctb I opted to go with rigid bodies method.

But when I render at middle part of timeline it is not simulating.

How do I cache - or render the animation with the dynamics being simulated?

Select the objects, and go to Edit>Keys>Bake simulation.
