Basic Maya Problem

Hi everyone!

ok so im new to maya and new to Animation so i hope im not bothing you guys to much for asking what is no doubt a noob question.

Im Animating a rig in Maya where one of my characters legs is sationary for several frames however between these frames his legs move before returning to thier previous position. ( though only slightly ) how to i fix this?

Open up the graph editor and all will be revealed (sort of). It depends what your keyframes look like, but you can change the tangents of the keys at the beginning of the stationary to stepped, and that should give you the hold you want. Hope that helps. Look up some help info on the graph editor in general.
