Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

NURBS to Poly conversion with strange effect

Hi,

I've got this NURBS surface I've created by lofting few curves and after I've converted it to Polygon I get this weird jagged effect in few places. When I extrude it all works fine, also it displays fine in isolation mode. Can someone tell me why is this happening?

There's most likely a copy of the mesh sitting in the exact same space.

Thanks, I didn't know converting leaves original surface in the same space.

There's an option in the conversion settings to delete the original, I believe. But of course it's up to you whether or not to do that.

I can't see such option in the menu.
