Education in animation

This is a question for those in the actualy industry and have been so for a while (maybe 5+ years). I'm in school right now working on a bachelors in animation. Now i've been questioning this for the last semster wondering if I'm wasting my time with this and thinking about changing to the accossiates program at my current school. I would be transfering to an actual university in the fall if i stay on my current path. Now my question for you guys that are in the actual industry. How many of you have degrees and what kind. Also in your opinion has did it help you get into the industry. Basically I'm looking for some kind of justification other than my own gut to go through the faster program which gets rid of all the extra classes that have nothing to do with the program itself. user added image
