Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
There is none, to my knowledge in basic maya.
BUT what I did is I downloaded a script named Xform UV there: https://www.stefandavid.com/posts/xformuv/
(it's not on creative crash)
in the extra tab you have a stack shell function that overlap selecteds shells. It's only based on their center so they have to be same topo/scale/orient.
this tiny window is full of super usefull stuff, I highly recommend it!
there is one piece that is similar but i flip it horizontal and that doesn't help when i try to stack it w/ script, it's not a perfect fit. i hesitate to move verts in the editor??
