This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.

Love the new scheme here! Anyways. Don't think I have scene anyone rig a vehicle like this Before. Kinda came up with it on my own. Well, I rigged it very similar to the way that you would rig a character. Guys check this out and let me know what you think. About 15 more min of work, and i will have the axels rigged (not yet) I was excieted and wanted to post this B4 Its actually all done. She's allready for animation. Thanks,

Thanks guys, I am working on the animation rignt now. Ummm. Hopefully it will be finnished in a week at most. It is about a 10 sec camera track. It may be longer if my matchmoving goes as well as my first camera shot. i would like to make a tutoial if anyone is interested, It only took about 15-20 min to fully rig it. I won't be able to make it for atleast a week or 2 though. Thanks,
Brian

Wow!!! from a technical point of view i am stunned! From an animation point of view i feel like it's almost there - can you get those front wheels of the ground when he hits the rise? or would that totally mess up the wheels following the surface? The model is great, the movement looks totally believable, if the jeep looked like it was in a bit more of a hurry it would be killer... user added image

that is hot - you're going to have one fine reel addition with this!

maybe a more wildly jolting jumping test animation just to show what you can do with the rig?

I agree about having another animation with it to show off the suspension.... CHeck out this image, My next goal is to make an animation from footage like this. user added image lots of work, because to get the shadows right, you have to model rocks in 3d that match up to the rocks from your video footage, plus, its going to be hard to take a track that is decent enough and has enough reference pts (locators). Thanks for your comments, can't wait till its finnished rendering. Can you belive, it only took about 2 hrs to rig and animate it. user added image

it looks fantastic! And the animation is superb. You should make a tute for this definatley! The only tiny tiny gripe i have (Which is probably a stupid one) is that the suspension springs on the first animation dont "give" any when the full weight of the car is on them. I know you can't see that in the second animation but it would still be cool though.

Well done again!
