lighting element

hi soli guys, this maybe unusual question, does any1 know way to to a lighting element shape of any model?

Use a helix (create/poly primative/helix) turn on its side then extrude the ends................dave

Here is an example of what Dave was suggesting to create the actual filament. The is a poly helix primitive that has be deformed using a non-linear bend deformer to fit through the anode, cathode, and stand-offs.

You can use the neon example above to add a incandescence, color, and glow intensity to it.

I think he's asking how an object in any shape can emit light... We'll see.

Yepper, that is why I covered both bases. The filament is a shape and he can use the neon lighting tut to apply the glowing effect to it. So either way we're covered. user added image

oh that means if i have to a horse as that image, i have to model a horse by using cv curve tool then only do a lightning thunder shape, isn it??

oh doh I did not notice the horse image. Sorry.

But yes, you could use cv curves to out line the horse. Then extrude a profile along the curves to create surfaces that you can then apply materials too and turn on incandescence and glow intensity.
