Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character
What am I missing here? I'm modeling a front end of a vehicle and trying to extrude the fenders out of the border edge of the hood but everytime I seem to extrude when I get going, I get double faces, edges, etc. When I go to pull (ext) the fenders down and I get dbl faces but one vertex. I've merged but my lines aren't straight because of details so that doesn't work. I've gone through and pulled the verts down and deleted the extra faces and merged some verts to fix some of the smaller double faces but it's happening almost everytime I extrude. Thanks..
I fixed it, well I just scratched it and started over, I wasn't that far into it. Thanks though. Here's an image of it. I've only worked on the rear so far. Quarters, wheel wells, roof, and some of the door. Still have a ways to go. Accidently forgot to turn cameras off on the render, oh well. Like I said long ways to go.
