How to make texture 'lit' (no shadow)?

Hi, I'm new to Maya. I need to make the texture 'lit up' (to look exactly like the texture file itself) - not being affected by lighting at all.

I've tried playing around with 'Incandescence' but that just puts glare onto the texture making it too bright.

How do I just get it to render as the file itself?

Thanks!
Alex.

Use a surface shader or do a colour pass

Surface shaders can cause problems with certain video cards. Instead, create a lambert material, set it's color to black, and map the file to it's incandescence.
