Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

problem with faces

Hello! I have the following problem: When I select Right mouse button -> Face. I get this: https://store.picbg.net/pubpic/87/09/...6701b58709.jpg https://store.picbg.net/pubpic/91/A8/...65229c91a8.jpg On one side of the face disappears and lines appear forming triangles. On the other side, the surface is visible. When I restart Maya fix everything, but again if I choose RMB -> Face the problem appears again.

Before, when I appeared on this issue, restart Maya and then very seldom heard so again. But now after the restart and RMB does not fix it.

Deleting the Prefs folder does not work user added image Please help me and sorry for my bad English. user added image

okay it looks like you have backface culling of some short turned on but I am not sure why you are getting the triangulated mesh.

I know you said deleting prefs did not work but do this anyway

1. select everything in the scene and export it to a file xxx.mb
2. close maya
3. goto the documents folder (if you are running windows)
4. rename the maya folder to maya.bad
5. restart maya and open the scene file xxx.mb

If the problem is still there after all that then I have no clue what you have figured out how to break lol
