NURB Sphere newb question

When I create a nurb sphere, I am only getting 2 lines. The tutorial I am watching the one being created has a few. I showed an example in the image. (mines the bottom)

I thought it was sections but when I change it to 8, it doesnt give it more lines. Just the 2.

How can I have it where my settings make them turn out with more that 2 lines on it?

Thanks

Go to your channel box and click on the nurbsphere that should open up the options you need to change the sections and spans.................dave

Must have been a setting I messed with. I deleted the maya folder and restarted program (to reset settings to default) and its working now.

Not sure what I edited. Thanks for your help.
