Hey dave,
Thanks for the recommendation.
Wel i hv got a pretty handsome budget, cos til date i hv been struggling with a very bad configuration i.e, 4gigs ram and an intel core2duo 2.4 ghz with just 512 mb frx ati radeon card..
It is very slow and sluggish..
So..now i want to make a big invest and make dramatic changes i my work speed and efficiency.
About your recommendations,
Well..looks quite fancy..m surely gona consider them,
But can you people please tel me if i cn go for a macintosh..
Other than doing maya,i work some sound stuff too, logic and some other softwares..
So..i am quiet confused.
Any mac recommendation?
Basically mac will prolly give you more stability in terms of viruses and worrying about bad hardware conflicts as everything that goes into a mac is more tightly controlled. But you will pay more for apps and have a lot less flexibility then you het with a pc.
In the end it's personal choice because there are going to be people that would fight to the death arguing one is better then the other.
I do not think you are going to find a mac configuration that can compete with the dual 16 core xeon socket 2011 board that Dave has suggested though and a pocket calculator would be better then the system you have now.
