Circular Sunglasses Tutorial?

Hi all,
I'm currently working on a college project, and one of the items I'm trying to model is a pair of circular "John Lennon" style sunglasses. I'm making some progress, but every time I try to model them, they look far too simplistic and obviously made by a Maya newb. If anyone could give me some hints and/or point me towards a sunglasses-making tutorial, I'd be much obliged.

Took about 10 minutes to model I created a torus first with sub axis of 40 (might need to go to 60) sub hight of 8 duplicated then moved over then combined, then did a bridge with curve and some extruding from the sides, hope this helps................dave
