Hi Everybody, It will be great if we can make a Thread on modeling for games (I dont know if theres one already) so everybody can post what there being doing. That way we can all learn a bit more, Right? Cause I think hi poly and low poly modeling are two different things and they both require there own set of skills, correct me if I'm wrong.
I see a lot of threads on hi poly modeling but a few low poly ones and c'mon who doesn't like video games.
So, I will encourage everybody to post what your being doing for games from Models to Textures, whatever related to the topic so that way people that are new to game modeling or to the game industry like me can learn a bit more
This is what I have being doing so far any suggestions are more than welcome and remember if you post do not hit the 3 key .
Not sure there would be much of a demand, the only game modelers I know of here are myself and Joopson, and I don't model much anymore, so that basically leaves Joopson
This is what I have so far. I'm at 2862 tris Right know. Don't want to get pass 3,000 tris for this one.
Suggestions and comments are more than welcome.
Acid44- I'm thinking mobile game. 3000 helps me to look for ways to save polygons and besides I have seen a lot of models around that count that look spectacular. So I will try it.
Yeah from 25 to 30,000 its a good count for consoles. I want to start low and get the most out the mesh and maybe then I'll bump it up a bit if I need to. For know I'm just learning and I have a LOOONG way to go. Remember to post something if you want to so we can discuss about it I think thats one of the best ways to learn
silkroadgame well its not only about posting something you working on but to discuss about anything related to games. That way we can all share something and lean more about that topic. Thanks for posting mate
