Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

I know that some menus were moved around some versions ago. The "Modeling" menu set is no more, the Subd and NURBS tools are now under the "Surfaces" menu set.

The subdivision surface modeling tools where removed from maya 2014. Autodesk suggests you using smooth mesh and the polygon crease tools.

I cannot say this disappointing to me as I always felt maya's subdivision surface tools were cobbled on as an after thought by marketing executives so they could claim in a brochure that Maya was a subd modeler just like <fill in competitor name here>.

I expect NURBS will be the next to go seeing as how they have not been touched for over ten years now!
