Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Help deleted a face!

Hey! So, I'm new to Maya and I was doing a digital tutors tutorial and deleted a bunch of faces like a I was supposed to. I saved it came back to it later and realized I deleted a face that I wasn't supposed too. How do I get it back? I tried edge<mesh<fill hole but all it does is fill the other faces back in and not the one I need. I've circled the face that I need to be filled back in. Thanks in advance!

You can use the bridge tool to fill that back in. Check the Maya docs for more info on how to use the bridge tool. You may need to merge edges after bridging, just select all the edges in the area and go edit mesh > merge [] with a low threshold like 0.005.

Extrude those 2 edges out toward the end. Snap top vertex to the end top and the bottom to the end bottom. Merge those 2 and you're done.

Hi Zildatheworrier, Select either the top or bottom edge circled and extrude once to line up with the middle edge loop then twice to line up with the opposite edge. Then select the vertices and one by one snap them (using the move tool and holding down the V key) to the corresponding verts. Once this is done make sure that you merge the verts that you snapped together by selecting them and going to Edit Mesh > Merge.

This should fix your problem.
