Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world
Get halfway through a model and find it's an unworkable mess? Can't add edge loops where you need them? Can't subdivide a mesh properly? If any of this sounds familiar check this course out.

Question regarding the Render command

Where does it export the file it has rendered? It says it has finished rendering, yet there is no export of the image. (I am using the command prompt to do this.)
Should I specify a path within the file before doing a render without Maya running?
Edit, never mind, I found the file eventually. But... now my Maya renderer is broken... How do I fix this?!

Yeah, I've found it yesterday, but it seems like the command prompt rendering always ruins the render window when I go back to Maya. Good thing I've saved the script to restore it.

That sounds like a giant headache. Why not setup Backburner? I haven't looked back since.

So that's what that thing was supposed to do... Thanks for mentioning it. But does it use up more resources than command prompt or less? I am seeking a way to reduce resource use as much as possible while speeding up rendering as much as possible (that not including rendering in passes though).
