Beginner Question: Switching between "Smooth" and "Standart-Polygon view"

Hi everyone,

so i'm working with Cinema4D now for years, especially doing interior and architecture renderings.
After some character modelling experiments in Cinema4D i decided to get in touch with maya.

And i think it's going pretty well, but now i have a question.
When i'm building my modell i can "smoth" my model with the "smooth" function,
to see how the polygons will act later on when i'm get more into detail.

Once see'n my model with the "smooth" function, i have to undo this step everytime to get
back to my rough polygon modell.

Is there a function where i can switch easily between this "smooth" and "rough" view of my modell?

best greetings,
haiqu

You can toggle between smooth preview and rough by pressing the 1, 2 and 3 keys on your keyboard. 1 = rough, 2 = smooth with rough wireframe, and 3 = smooth.

Cheers, the Yeti.
