This course contains a little bit of everything with modeling, UVing, texturing and dynamics in Maya, as well as compositing multilayered EXR's in Photoshop.
I have a potential client who wants me to provide my work in the .stl file format. The items I create will be used by my client in some sort of CNC software.
I'm having real trouble finding a way to either export from maya to .stl or to convert another file format (like .obj) to .stl.
Does anyone have experience with this file type or know a way for me to easily export .stl from maya?
I recently did a project for 3D-printing in Maya and also needed to export to .stl.
I could find no such option in standard-Maya, but managed to do so via "Rhino", a program aimed towards use for CNC etc.
You can find a fully functional evaluation version on their website which you could do the export with. https://www.rhino3d.com/
Sorry, I know that's not a strictly-Maya-solution, but it gets the job done if needed!
