Help with animation

Hello,

I'm absolutely new in the field of animation with Maya and I need a piece of advice.
I have the letter A made of bones bound together by some lianas.
I need to make a very simple animation of the objects. The bones move a bit stretching the lianas.
How can I tackle the lianas' animation most efficiently so that the lianas stretch according to the bones' movements?
Should I go for rigging or should I try some kind of simulation?

Thanks in advance!
