Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 2
This course will look in the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. It's aimed at people that have some modeling experience in Maya but are having trouble with complex objects.

Soften close edges

Hello, is there a way to somehow soften 3 edges that are very close to each other?

Here is the issue I'm having

It's common to have that problem. You can try spreading the edges out to soften the area. Take the vertices to the right of your holding edges, and mesh > average vertices. Or use the slide edge tool might be more precise.

I have tried that already.. but I can't even the surface to look smooth and alignment : /

Are there any techniques to work around?

Thank you!

Isn't it's wrong to use triangles? I have tried it before and it makes the faces poke a bit, you can see it clearly if you look from a certain angle..

None the less, thank you for your help and suggestions!! Please keep 'em coming! <3

If you look carefully at where Dave suggests cutting, you shouldn't have any tris.

Thank you for pointing that out, I have redone the edges, but I'm still having the same problem, I have tired to relax/align the mesh as much as possible but you can still see the little edge popping out on the smooth surface : /

Thank you!

Nope, this isn't a PS3, but now when you mentioned it, it does resemble PS3..
