School of fish no direction

Hi guys
Have an animated fish model i want to run round a motion path. Have used particles to make a school of fish using instancing. Only problem is the fish wont swim forwards.

I have looked though some forums and cant find the answer, Have changed the aim direction to velocity and even changed front axis but nothing seems to help.

What am i missing, im sure its a simple setting but cant figure it out.

Please help.user added image

I set the aim position to velocity this was great as they were swimming in the same direction to the motion path but backwards, this stumped me for a while what I had to do was select the original mesh then 1.reset transformation 2, rotate the mesh 180 3 freeze transformation, I think I delete history at the start that would be 1-1 LOL...............dave
