Rendering a model with lights shining on it

Hi, I'm new to this site and this seemed the most relevant thread.

I have a helicopter I'm rendering with MentalRay and it has a few lights shining on it.
It's a 10 second sequence. My aim is to bring it into After Effects as a .psd layered image.
The problem I was having was the image layers were all showing up completely black (except for BeautyPass).

I realised that my lights weren't being rendered, possibly because they aren't keyed or parented to the camera?

Thanks!

When you say image layers, do you mean render layers? Are your lights in the other render layers? You may have to select the lights and add them to each render layer.
