Hello, I'm a PA at the Netherlands Filmacademy and I'm assisting in the production of the graduation film 'The Space Between Us'

The Film is set in a post nuclear war torned 1983, the air has been polluted so much that it is impossible to breathe in it and survive. The sea levels have risen up to the mountaintops. There are some laboratories doing research on human gills. So that mankind can live on underwater. For the research they need a sea creature that is closest to humans. A sea ape. These creatures are very rare and only mentioned in fairy tales as 'mermen'. It was deemed impossible to find such a creature so they stopped looking for it and continued their research on other kinds of creatures, finding no progress.

But then, one day, when all hope seemed to be lost, the ‘Adam’ is brought inside: the savior of mankind.

This project serves as a graduation film for the visual effects class of the academy.

We're working with the school's Visual Effects Artists, who are ambitious and dedicated to bring this film to life.

We're very excited to show The Space Between Us to the world and hearing what you guys think of it.

The teaser contains no footage that will be used in the film but sets the tone and the atmosphere of the film, afterwards the crew will go more in depth about the film itself. The crew talks Dutch but we have some English subtitles. The film, however, does contain English dialogue. we'd love to hear your thoughts and opinions about it.
