Maya 2020 fundamentals - modelling the real world

Solid color render

Is there a way to render a scene were all object have a solid color with no shadow or reflection? It would make selecting different parts of the render a lot easier.
I'm using Maya 2016 with Mental Ray.
The image below is an example of what I mean.

Yes, use three surface shaders and pick pure red, green, or blue as the output color. You may need to render a few passes to get all the objects (make all the remaining objects black). Red, green, and blue will give you cleaner selections in a compositing app, as opposed to all sorts of blended colors. Hope that helps.
