Over the last couple of years UV layout in Maya has changed for the better. In this course we're going to be taking a look at some of those changes as we UV map an entire character

duplicating for car model

user added image

hi! can anyone help? I am fairly new to Maya and am doing the Polygon Audi TT tutorial from Michael McKinley, have finally done half the car but the tutorial says to dupe and reverse, to save having to build the WHOLE care, but I cannot find a way to do this.
searching on Maya for flip or reverse doesn't seem to be bringing up what i;m looking for.

HELP?! so close, yet so far...........................user added image

u must use duplicate with the options X=1 Y=-1 Z=1 this way u mirror the object in y direction.

don't know if it applies here, ( i haven't done this one )
but if you refer to polygons you can also Polygons-> mirror.

You know, there are at least two ways of getting things done... Your way and the right way...
