Introduction to Maya - Modeling Fundamentals Vol 1
This course will look at the fundamentals of modeling in Maya with an emphasis on creating good topology. We'll look at what makes a good model in Maya and why objects are modeled in the way they are.

MAYA 4 to MAYA 3

I need to save my maya 4 file so that a freelancer can open it in maya 3, both versions are unlimited is this possible?

Unless you've used any Maya 4 specific nodes, MOST of the time you can save the file as Maya Ascii and then hand-edit the lines at the top that specify what version it requires.

If you have used features dependent on having version 4, you may have trouble reading the file.
