Need help. QUICK!

I have a sphere. There are some faces, that I want seperated. So I can rotate and move them, with out having faces connect them to the rest of the object.

I hope you understand. I need this soon, times running out quick!

Thanks for any shot you can take at this!

um, no.

In this pic, the red area will be with out faces. What this is used for, is sections of a sphere with rotate out, revealing boosters connected to the inside of the sections. If you extrude the face, there are faces in the 'red area'

You could delete the new faces after you extract. Hope this helps

ok. I found a way to do it. But it was very crude and time consuming.

Duplicate the object. Cut out a hole in one object, cut out the things outside the hole on its copy.

Okay In my newest Gundam I wanted in the forarms to have a compartment that the beam saber would store in so I needed a flap! So I extruded the hole in and then extracted the face again the extruded it to get thickness then whala I had my flap door!
here's some pics to kinda show what I mean! Hope this helps
