Complex UV Layout in Maya

did u try to make the jfish using particles or what was your intension.
I would rec you to use polys for the beginning. If you're familiar with Mayas Paint Tools then have a look at thus tut:

Thankx Axel actually the gellyfish is a nurb and the way its gonna animate is by playing with its mass I mean pp.If you turn it into a soaft body and change the pp mass it will animate by itself the rest is a directional emiter for the tentacles..oh well..check out my teacher's website at UCLA..
