What do you expect a MEL or plugin to do? Shouldn't you jst be able to model it?

Yeah, sadly, there isn't anything specific regarding car modeling at this time that I know of.

However, folks like Brian E. like to use polys & subdivs to model solid-body models like cars, so you might want to start reading up on subdivs.

Once you get used to them, you'll LOVE them for modeling most anythinguser added image

Where's the Superstar MEL script? You know...The one that is supposed to make me a maya superstar, get me a job with WETA, earn me millions of dollars, an oscar, a swimming pool, an old Jag, etc. Last I heard, KB was working on it but it has to come after the Andrea Gail...hehe. user added image

oh i dont see what special thing you need for a car. put up some reference pictures in maya, and just model what you see. that is the whole trick. it is as easy as modeling about anything from reference pics like a human beeing. just use you favourite tools - nurbs or polys to get the thing into rough shape, and then continue going into finer and finer levels.

hope that helps
