Split Polygon Tool Problem

Im trying to make the eye socket for my Elf. I put the 1st 3 points where I want it to split. As I come back to the edge I want to end it on, it snaps to the 1st point on the edge. The pic should explain more. The read line is what Im trying to acheive. Any help anyone? user added image

it is because you end up on the same edge that you start. You can't do that.. you have to do it in a couple of steps .. I hope the attached image helps..

Good luck

yeah, can't start and end on the same edge. Check out the freebie Split Polygon Vid we have available for more info about the tool.
